This new book (Yale-G’s Refined Clinical Review……) for parts 2 and 3 is excellent and covers things more completely than ‘Crush the Boards’ as frequently I could not find items in CTB that I wanted to expand from U-World, that were however in this new book. It covers everything and frequently uses simple terms to explain concepts that on first glance are a little tricky to get hold of. An index would be handy, but that shouldn’t detract from the hard work that has gone into producing what will surely become the ‘book to have’ for students studying for the boards.

This is an excellent book. I found out this book very late, it was like a week apart from my exam. At first, I wasn’t sure should I buy this book…but the Author DR Gong is very nice and he promised to me about the fast delivery. And then once I got the book, I only have time to read on the parts that I was week at. I found out that it was very useful, especially the HYQ. thanks again DR Gong.

This book really helped me get through step2 CK for the final review. I studied with UW but it was not enough for the full review and this book gave the concise concepts which needed for the test. The HYQs are helpful for knowing which part you are weak and have to study more. I hope all you guys stick to this book. Really have confidence to recommend this book!

Hello Dr. I want to inform you that I got the book from thepost office Monday late afternoon, I have been reading and all I want to say is great great job. I am spreading the word already and will do more. It’s incredible the amount of time you put into its detaial. Way better than MTB 2 and 3, better than First Aid by several miles. We may have disputed last week but I feel I was right insisting on getting your book. It is a must have and I am loving it. Has tiny errors in spelling only so far. Generally well organized.

  7. Dr. B says:

This is the book we have all been waiting for. It was my main study tool for step 2CK. I read over the book once, went through uworld and then came back to the book and was amazed at how detailed and to the point this book is. After taking my test, i realised it is all one needs to prepare for this exam.
Got questions on my test from the high yield questions at the end of each chapters. Questions are challenging but drive home must know concepts of each chapter.
Anxiously waiting for 2nd edition coming December 2012 with pics. Will be my study tool for Step 3 too. Thanks Dr. Yale for this awesome book! YOUR ROCK!!

  8. liko285 says:

I must say that one cannot rely on First Aid. The book has a poor quialty with numerous errors, horrible index (most of the diseases are not even mentioned in the index), nightmare abbreviation. The quialty of High Yield does not really reflect High Yield material, as First Aid is claiming. Most of the so called First Aid High Yield is just a few lines with errors that does not reflect the current Step-1 exam. There are lots of outdated drugs, lab techniques and recommendations that are not really high yield. It is really frustrating to waste so much time to look for errors/index. I would NOT recommend this book to students that really want to nail down Step-1 exam. DO NOT waste your money or take a chance to fail the exam and loose valuable time over First Aid, It is just another way of Monopoly (just like McDonald or others) and do minor things: change the cover of the book from light red and yellow to a darker red and yellow, or add more errors to the book. If First Aid is not just a money making Monopoly, lets see how is the 2013 version (another colorful book with tons of errors), or really addressing the poor quialty of the book and fixing the numerous errors as mentioned by so many students over and over and over. I find it even more disturbing when First Aid’s Ivy league editors ask students to find/correct the errors and then one get a $10 gift card. It is not the job of the students to correct the book’s errors, it is the editor’s responsibility. I am Not going to buy the 2013, but I will read the posts from frustrated students. Hopefully, other competitors could listen to the students cry for quialty and produce a higher quialty Step-1 book and not just a colorful book with tons of errors, outdated drugs and low yield materials.

  9. The First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 + UW QB Step1 are the best recommended sources for passing the Step 1 with a high score by most candidates. Kaplan Notes (if you have 1y) or Yale-G’s (if only a few months) + UW QB Step 2 are the best combo for Step 2 CK.
    Best wishes!

  10. sandra says:

This book seems to be superior to the First Aid Step 2 Ck in many aspects but lacks tables/flow charts/images with the text. When it comes to defining the next steps in managing a patient the concepts are not enough……
The question at the end of each chapter are very valuable. I was hoping for a more consolidated way of presenting the matter esp. algorithms since step 2 is all about the chronological order of diagnostic tests and therapy. Unfortunately no book has provided that essential information except the Uworld explantions.

  11. Thanks much for the precious FB! I’m making hard efforts to work out the new edition! Actually the 2.5th Ed Kindle version at amazon.com is 20% updated but $9.99 only!
    Best wishes!

  30. An architect supplies a project appropriate for your financial
resources. The cement along with the sandstone pieces are mixed vigorously and poured in to a mould that
is certainly shaped like the perfect sandstone block.

Not only do you have that as a possible option, however you could also affect the
color while the concrete starts to harden.

  35. Just like viagra, generic viagra can cause some side effects.
These effects usually are mild to moderate and usually do not last longer than a few hours.
A few of these side effects are more likely to
occur with higher doses. The most common side effects of generic
viagra are headache, flushing of the face, and upset stomach.
Less common side effects that’ll occur are temporary changes in color vision (such as for example trouble telling the difference between blue and green objects or
having a blue colour tinge to them), eyes being more sensitive to light,
or blurred vision. In rare instances, men have complained of an erection that lasts many hours.
This difficulty is called priapism. If you ever have an erection that lasts more than 4 hours you should call a doctor immediately.
If not treated right away, permanent damage to your penis
could occur. Irregular heartbeats, stroke, heart attack, and death have been reported rarely
    in men.
